What Is MBSR?

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an evidence-based, 8-week program that teaches you how to relate to stress, pain, and challenges with more awareness and resilience.

Developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, MBSR combines mindfulness meditation, gentle movement, and self-inquiry. It’s widely respected and used around the world in healthcare, education, and leadership training.

What You’ll Learn

During this live course, you’ll be guided through:

  • Foundational mindfulness practices
  • How to respond (not react) to stress and conflict
  • Tools for emotional regulation and greater self-awareness
  • Mindful communication for stronger relationships
  • Practices you can integrate into daily life and work

No experience with mindfulness is necessary.

Course Format

🗓 8 Live Weekly Sessions (2.5 hours each)

🧘 One Full-Day Silent Retreat
📘 Guided practices, group discussions, and at-home support
🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Held in a supportive and inclusive small-group setting
🌍 All sessions are conducted live online via Zoom
